Dungeons Guide — Conquer the Darkness

What Are Dungeons?

Dungeons are dark, dangerous areas scattered across the survival worlds. They're filled with powerful hostile mobs and offer some of the best rewards on the server. The key difference from vanilla Minecraft dungeons? These are dynamic, stage-based encounters that cycle through four phases.

Dungeons are open-world — you can team up with friends, and multiple players can participate at once.

The 4 Dungeon Stages

Stage 1: Awakening

The dungeon begins in the Awakening stage. Your goal here is simple: defeat a set number of mobs to trigger the Conquest. Think of it as warming up the dungeon.

Stage 2: Conquest

Once Awakening is complete, the Conquest begins at Stage 1. The dungeon issues a challenge and unleashes waves of mobs against all players present. Each conquest stage is more difficult than the last.

The Conquest continues until all players either die or leave the dungeon.

Stage 3: Retaliation

After each conquest stage is completed, the dungeon enters Retaliation — a brief preparation phase before the next stage begins with increased difficulty. Use this time to heal up and prepare.

Stage 4: Cooldown

Once all players die or leave, the dungeon enters Cooldown. It cannot be challenged during this period. After cooldown ends, it resets back to the Awakening stage and is ready to be challenged again.

Rewards

When players complete a conquest stage, rewards drop in the heart of the dungeon. Here's the catch: if multiple players are present, it's first come, first served. Be fast!

Dungeon rewards include rare items, coins, and loot that can't be obtained anywhere else on the server.

Tips for Dungeon Runs

• Bring friends — Dungeons are much easier with a coordinated group
• Come prepared — Strong gear, potions, and good food are essential
• Learn the layout — Knowing the dungeon helps you avoid getting cornered by mobs
• Rush the rewards — After completing a stage, move fast to claim loot before others
• Don't overcommit — It's better to retreat and reset than to die and lose gear
• Guard job players — The Guard job is specifically tied to dungeon combat, earning extra job XP inside dungeons
• Nation up — coordinated dungeon runs are a great way to earn Nation XP and unlock achievements together

Finding Dungeons

Dungeons are hidden across the world — keep exploring to find them. The more of the world you uncover, the more likely you are to stumble upon one. Some dungeons may be visible on world maps through the Discoveries system.
