Money on CivSMP

CivSMP has a fully player-driven economy. Money is the primary currency used for trading with other players and NPCs alike. There's no shortage of ways to earn it — but building real wealth requires smart decisions.

Ways to Earn Money

🏪 Trading with Players	Sell items, services, and more to other players
🏦 NPC Shops	Sell resources to NPC vendors across the world

📦 Couriers	Haul scheduled goods to the courier NPC at spawn for big payouts
⚔️ Raiding & PvP	Everything you take off a base or a body is yours to sell
📈 Bank Interest	Earn passive interest on money stored in banks
🏆 Rewards	Collect hourly, daily, and weekly reward money
🗳️ Voting	Earn cash and rewards by voting daily

Ways to Spend Money

Protecting Your Money — Banks

Here's something important: you lose 10% of your player balance when you die. On a LifeSteal server you will die, and you'll usually die at the worst possible moment — right after a big payout, carrying everything. To protect your money, deposit it into a bank.

Banks are physical locations scattered throughout the world — look for bank buildings as you explore. Once you find one, you can:

• Deposit money to keep it safe from death penalties
• Earn interest — money in the bank generates interest every 8 hours while you're online
• Take out loans — get an instant cash injection when needed (see the Banks guide for details)

Tip: Bank before you fight, bank before you raid, and bank before you log off. Carrying a large balance into PvP is how fortunes disappear.

The Auction House

The Auction House (/ah) is the most accessible marketplace on the server — usable from anywhere, at any time.

/ah              — Open the Auction House
/ah sell <price> — List the item in your hand for sale
/ah bid <price>  — Place a bid on an item

You have a limited number of auction slots. Check your limit in the Player Profile menu and unlock more through rewards.

Coins — The Premium Currency

Coins are separate from regular money. They're the premium currency used in the /coinshop for cosmetics, premium ranks, boosters, and more.

You can earn coins through:

• Purchasing on the webstore
• Hourly, daily, and weekly rewards
• Leveling up and opening crates
• Sitting in an AFK Pond
